Architectural Technology Certificate with a Specialization in
Computer Aided Design/Drafting (C40100-C1)
This certificate will prepare students for entry-level CAD drafting positions within the fields of architecture and/or interior design. Course work includes basic architectural drafting techniques, reading construction documents, 2D and 3D CAD drawings, rendering, modeling, animation and video of building interiors and exteriors. Careful planning should allow the student to complete this certificate in three to four semesters.

This program is designed to give students basic hands-on experience in manual drafting and sketching, CAD drafting, and residential design. Required course work includes the study of construction techniques, terminology, and related topics. Careful planning should allow the student to complete this certificate in two to three semesters.
