Exposing Scarlet--Ross Gallery

Current Exhibit: Exposing Scarlet

The CPCC Art Gallery and the Elizabeth Ross Gallery are venues for students and the general public to enjoy, reflect and broaden their educational experience in the Visual Arts by sharing in the artistic expressions and accomplishments of a diverse selection of artists. Located in close proximity to Uptown Charlotte, the Art Gallery at Central Piedmont Community College was established in 1989 through the vision and guidance of Mr. Gene Bryant, who was then, the Division Head for Visual & Performing Arts.

Approximately 10-14 exhibits are planned each year, featuring student/faculty works, regional, national and internationally known artists. A public reception to meet the artist(s) is generally planned for each exhibition and whenever possible, gallery lectures/talks are offered in conjunction with the exhibition opening.

Exhibition Opportunities
Artists interested in exhibiting with our Gallery are encouraged to submit a CD of 10 -20 images, exhibition proposal, an artist statement and a resume  for review by the gallery committee.

The Art Gallery at CPCC handles all publicity and produces a quality invitation postcard for each exhibition. We also hold a deductible insurance policy on all works while they are on exhibit in our gallery.
